The Trelawny neighbourhood is located within the Meadowvale community in Mississauga. The area is bounded by Tenth Line, to the East, and Trelawny Circle to the North, West and South.

The Trelawny area was designed using a concept called Modular Lots to create a community of safe, private enclaves of homes. The Modular Lot design provides a transition between public and private spaces by laying out a series of cul-de-sacs that exclusively serve the houses on that street. This design creates the feeling of a semi-private street and also a mini-neighbourhood. The houses on the cul-de-sac are located at near the front of the lot and are angled toward the entrance to the street. This design maximizes the back yard space, and privacy when compared to similar sized lots on rectangular properties. The homes in Trelawny range in size from average sized homes with 3 or 4 bedrooms to very large homes with 5 bedrooms on large lots.
