Geography

Watercolours is a community within the Lorne Park neighbourhood of Mississauga, located on the south side of Indian Road and just west of Mississauga Road. There are two entrances to Watercolours from Indian Road, (look for the elegant stone gates) along Cobalt and Infinity Streets.

Real Estate

All of homes in Watercolours were built by Mattamy Homes commencing in 2000. These upscale homes are built on 50,60,65 and 75 foot lots and range in size from about 3700 square feet to over 4500 square feet.

There are also a few smaller private roads within Watercolours that feature detached bungalow homes that are part of a condominium style ownership. There is a maintenance fee associated with these particular homes that includes snow removal and lawn care. It is a great option for people who like to travel or may have a second home elsewhere.

The traffic in the neighbourhood is kept to a minimum as the large majority are home owners travelling two and from the area. The streets are nice to stroll along and stop for a break in a park or to look at the pond.

People who live in Watercolours enjoy the close proximity to the QEW at Mississauga Road for commuting to Toronto. As well the area offers great shopping and restaurants just a short drive away in Clarkson Village or Port Credit. As well the lake and parks are also a short trip from here.

Community 

The Lorne Park Watercolours Residents Association is run and supported by members of the community. They focus on community issues, beautification, school issues and social events to name a few. They were successful in having Watercolours included within the Lorne Park Secondary School boundaries.

History

The area that now known as Watercolors was once an oil tank storage facility on which close to 400 luxury homes have been built by Mattamy homes.

The Lorne Park area is known for its strong property values, good schools, and proximity to Toronto.
